Today Wafa is a member of our Sales & Marketing team; she represents clavis in the MENA region.[/authorBox]

How everything began

My experience with clavis solutions began in 2011 when I met Jan-Martin Lichte, the company’s CEO, on the road to Tunis. He came to Tunisia just after the Tunisian revolution and was very open to meet the young Tunisians who had just changed the standards of a whole political system. At that time I was at the beginning of my way to achieve my dream: becoming a software engineer. We started talking about many topics: The Arab Spring, the political and economic situation, universities and education in Tunisia, software engineering, SAP etc.

I asked Jan to give a talk about SAP and its features at my university because SAP ERP is something we don’t really know a lot about as software students in Tunisia. I was very glad when Jan accepted, in spite of his busy schedule. Three days later everything was ready and prepared. It was an amazing event, and until now I can’t forget his speech’s introduction full of hope and faith for these young engineers not so sure about their future.

A few months later Jan asked me to help him with the organization of a cultural exchange between young Tunisian and German students. For me, meeting Jan was the coincidence that changed my life. Never before had I been aware of the strengths and skills I have, but working with him made me discover myself. I had never faced challenges such as organizing an event with all its details and managing a group of people to complete a project.

Working for clavis solutions

During my final study project in 2013 I worked with clavis solutions for five months in Bonn/Germany and got insight into both sales and marketing and software development. This made me realize that I didn’t want to become a developer engineer but rather a technical sales engineer using my communication skills and my background as a design engineer. clavis solutions has helped me to make my dream come true. During my final study project I discovered the professional life for the first time. I started learning how to work the ‘German way’ and to improve my skills.

After returning to Tunisia and getting my degree I started working with clavis solutions as a technical sales engineer responsible for the MENA region. I concentrate on software solutions for work safety and maintenance and create a network of sales partners and business partners. I’m fascinated by what I’m learning every day about HSE (Health, Safety and Environment).

With each customer I learn more and add new knowledge and know-how. My priority is to help our business partners by providing additional value and meet their high expectations. Also, I always want to be up to date with the growing requirements in the important field of work safety and maintenance.

The da Vinci approach adapted by clavis solutions really summarizes the harmony within the team, despite the distance, different languages, backgrounds and strengths. I love my work at clavis solutions: The team is amazing, we learn from each other and we are working together to improve our company. It feels like we are the mosaic stones of a beautiful picture of success.
